Brandon Jamil Kamal Ray, born July 5th 1989 is the President of Hard Critics Records. Along with serving as an executive on the label, he’s also an American songwriter/producer that goes by the name of “El Trapo”. El Trapo grew up mostly in the greater Los Angeles area of Inglewood, CA but eventually landed in Palmdale, CA. Not only is he is a songwriter but El Trapo is a record producer as well who gained his recognition in music by initially being a member of the group “Red Diggie Roxx”, then his eventual association with hip hop trio “The Hundredz”. El Trapo has expanded his regime of high quality work ethic and gritty sound which has captivated a toxic fan base from his hometown. He aspires to continue his legacy as a well rounded philanthropist and musical connoisseur. When asked what inspires him to do music, he replies, “It gives me a wider understanding of my life and all that goes into it. And it helps me through my trials and tribulations no matter how bad the situation. I cope through music.” El Trapo recently released his debut single off Hard Critics Records entitled “How’s it feel” which has the internet in an uproar. His ground shaking energy he brings to every song and physical appearance is sure to leave a mark you’ll never forget yet craving more.
